- Problem
The alumni portal required a major overhaul to better support talent acquisition, advocacy, and business development. The existing platform was outdated, lacked intuitive navigation, and had limited search functionality that didn’t align with user experience principles. Its structure made information difficult to find, and the content failed to drive engagement or support key objectives
- Solution
Established clear goals based on the portal’s three pillars to guide content and design. We designed and implemented an enhanced search functionality, streamlined the homepage for a cleaner, more intuitive layout, and improved the job search and listings experience for a seamless application process.
- Outcomes
The redesigned alumni portal resulted in significantly increased engagement, with more alumni actively using the platform to connect with job opportunities, advocate for the university, and explore business partnerships. The enhanced search functionality and intuitive layout led to faster, more efficient access to relevant information, while the improved job listings experience contributed to a measurable uptick in alumni hires and employer satisfaction. Overall, the portal became a strategic asset in strengthening alumni relationships and advancing institutional goals across talent acquisition, advocacy, and development.
